1. How do I change the search to find items closest to me?

On the homepage at the top left of the page it will say "Most Recent" in a peachy red color. Click it and there will be a drop down menu allowing you to search "Distance" which will show the closest things to you!

2. How can I be sure I get my trade?

We just started offering a 100% trade safety guarantee for $7 per trade. You just need to contact support and you don't need to pay until the trade actually happens.

3. Let us know if you want it!how does the shipping process go?

Hello ____,
It's super simple: both parties just ship their items to each other using
the method of their choice. If you're concerned about security, you can
purchase our 100% trade guarantee for $7. If anything goes wrong, we'll
refund the value of your item. It's a brand new offering so if you want it
you need to let me know and I can add it to your trade.

4. How Does TradeYa Work? What do I do on the site?

After you have items up on your profile, you can browse the different categories for things you might want. If you see something, hit the "Want" button and that will let the other person know that you are interested!How does the site work?Add 5 -10 items as a user and then go want 15-20 items to increase your chances of trade

5. Now I can't even log in with facebook.

Make sure you are signed into the right facebook. 

We also suggest clearing your cache on your web browser that may be hindering your login to go smoothly. 

6. How does the site work?

After you have items up on your profile, you can browse the different categories for things you might want. If you see something, hit the "Want" button and that will let the other person know that you are interested!

If they respond to you, it puts you in contact with them and you can discuss the trading terms (ex: shipping, meeting up, etc) and then complete the trade!

7. How do I cancel a Trade after I have started it?

Under the trading menu on your profile page will give you the list of trades. Click on the trade that you want to delete and it should take you to a different page for just that trade that says Active Trade up on the top. Above the Trade Terms box on the right should be the words "Cancel Trade". Click that and it will ask you if you are sure and click ok.

8. How do I manage my own wants?

If you go to your profile by clicking on your picture on the top right, there should be a tab menu that say "Dashboard, Trading, Inbox, etc". If you click on the "Trading" tab it will take you to the Trading Menu, now there should be a sub tab that shows "Items I Want".

9. How do I see other people's wants?

To find items that other people want, all you have to do is click on their profile, and go then click on the "Wants" tabs.

10. I can't Logon.

We suggest clearing your cache on your web browser under settings and then signing in.

You can also try signing in on a different web browser like Chrome, Firefox, IE, or Safari..

11. How do I change my phone number?

On the homepage, there is a drop down menu arrow on the top right of the screen right next to your picture. Click that and a menu will drop down showing Edit Profile. After you click Edit Profile it will bring you to a different page. Now there will be four tabs in the middle of your screen, click the one that says Verification. There you will see the number you inputed and next to it will be blue letters that say "Remove". After you remove your old number, you will have to verify your new number by putting it in the box and clicking verify. A text or call will give you a code that you must put in the box to the right of the submit button. After you put it in, click submit and your number will be changed!

12. When wanting an item do I have to trade my items first before users ship theirs to my address?

Yes, you should offer or accept a trade first before shipping. After you offer or accept the trade you can agree on the terms of the trade which includes shipping.

13. What if someone wants your item & they have nothing to trade?

We would suggest getting in contact with them and asking them what they are willing to trade because a lot of people have items they want to trade but just haven't posted them yet. We are looking into changing the want feature to only be available after your have posted your own items.

14. How do I navigate?

The "Miles" indicate the distance away from your current location. To navigate you can either type in the search bar on the top middle of the page. There is also a blue category drop down menu to the right of the search bar.

15. Can I load an item in more than one category so that I can have more possible looks for it?

We agree that an item may be eligible for more than one category, but the reason we limit it to one category is so that people don't spam every category on their item so that people see it on all categories which would ruin the whole purpose of categories.

16. I can't confirm my email.

Try refreshing your web browser cache under settings/history.

17. How do I edit my items?

So first you have to go to the dashboard, which can be done by clicking your profile picture located on the top right of the home page. After you do that you will see tabs in the middle of the page. Click on the tab that says "Haves". There you will see all your items. On the right of the item you will see a pencil. Click the pencil which will let you add pictures and edit the description.

18. What is Tradeya all about?

TradeYa! is an online bartering site where you trade goods/services for other goods/services. Our mission is to create/find value without spending money.

19. What you do when someone wants my item?

You can go to their profile and either suggest a trade with something of theirs, or just comment and discuss what they might be willing to give for your item

20. What is Haves and Haves Board?

"Haves" are the items that you have posted and own. The "Haves" board is located on your dashboard and displays all your items/services and gives you the option to edit or add new items

21. Where is Dashboard?

The Dashboard is where all the info about your profile is located. It shows your activity, items, wants, friends, rating and personal messages. You get there by clicking your profile picture located on the top right of the home page

22. How do I start a trade?

You can start a trade by wanting someone else's items or by suggesting a trade by going to their item and clicking the yellow arrows underneath.

23. I received a trade request now what?

You can either accept it and move on to the terms and conditions of the trade, or suggest a different trade.

24. What should I write in agreed terms and conditions?

You should write the process of how you are going to trade the items and what happens if it does not happen that way.

25. What happens if the other trader does not send the promised item?
